Design Guy is the podcast I author and host. Having noticed that the podcast “space” for design was dominated by tips-n-tricks and current events style shows, I set out to create something different.

In this era of democratized production tools where the means of production are available to everyone, Design Guy starts with the premise that  we’re all designers to some degree. Many are dabbling in a variety of media and so there are more people who want insight into Design. How does it work? How can I create better stuff?, etc., are questions they are asking.

Because design principles tend to be universal, crossing various disciplines, the show attempts to stick to those universals. Or as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “If you learn only methods, you‘ll be tied to your methods, but if you learn principles you can devise your own methods.”
